In a recent interview from ad:tech San Francisco, Ilya Lichtenstein from MixRank chats with TheMail about current mobile advertising trends, how to optimize your mobile ads, and what’s in store for MixRank in the future.

These are some key takeaways from the video:

  • In the interview, we asked Ilya for his tips for optimizing for mobile and he told us that in his opinion, it’s all about the creative aspect. He says that you have to really grab users’ attention quickly and be able to appeal to a wide audience if you want to be successful on mobile.
  • Ilya says that the types of companies that are really excelling in optimizing their creatives are gaming companies such as King, the creator of the massively popular CandyCrush franchise.
  • Later in the interview, Ilya talks about the future for MixRank and told us that the company has seen a take up in direct media buys and less success in the RTB channel, so MixRank will be focusing on building tools that support that.
