In a recent interview from Apps World in San Francisco, Stephanie Quilao from Vibrantly chats with TheMail about how her company is promoting healthy eating and healthy lifestyles through their new photo sharing app.

These are some key takeaways from the video:

  • Vibrantly is a photo sharing app centered on food and healthy eating that was launched in October and designed specifically for food “iPhoneographers.”
  • Vibrantly is currently targeting food bloggers and people on special diets, as well as passionate foodies. Stephanie told us however, that the ideology of “build it and they will come” has not been the case for Vibrantly and that although they saw a great uptake at launch, user acquisition has since slowed down. Stephanie’s advice to app developers—you have to hustle if you really want to succeed and gain traction. It’s not enough to just build an app, you have to market it, sell it, and give users a reason to keep using it.
