In a recent interview from AdTech in New York City, TheMail talks to Kelsey Heavey about her company Fiksu—a mobile app marketing company that looks to monetize and grow their clients’ mobile apps.
In the interview, Kelsey explained that Fiksu’s main goal for their clients is new user acquisition, specifically focused on gaining and retaining revenue-producing users that help mobile app developers monetize and grow their business. She also told us that Fiksu recently underwent a repositioning of the company to place a stronger emphasis on technology than on being an agency or big data company.

These are some key takeaways from the video:
Kelsey defines Fiksu as a company that “gets people loyal app users who are also doing the revenue-producing actions that you need to monetize and sustain your mobile app business.”
Fiksu recently “repositioned” the company in order to identify themselves as a technology company rather than an agency or big data company. “We wanted to really reign that in a provide a clear definition and offering of our technology products themselves,” Kelsey said.
Looking towards the future of mobile, Kelsey says that the biggest change that has to happen is that businesses need to start investing more of their ad dollars in mobile marketing. Currently, the amount of traffic coming from the mobile platform versus the amount of ad dollars spent is wildly disproportionate.
