In a recent interview from AdTech in New York City, Launch. It Founder Trace Cohen talks about his brand new startup—a news aggregator that focuses on expos and trade shows around the world.
In the interview, Trace tells us that Launch. It is the premiere news source for the world’s largest shows, including CES and AEM, working with trade show organizers to assemble digital news pages for users to find, share, and discover the latest news on various expos and trade shows.

These are some key takeaways from the video:
Launch. It has monetized their platform by giving the publication to the major shows for free, and selling exhibit space online to the show exhibitors. Those companies can then pay $100, $200, $300 then to get an actual news spot in Launch. It’s publication.
Launch. It also sends out a newsletter to subscribers that helps generate leads and social shares in order to generate more interest in the shows, as well as drive traffic to their site.
Besides selling news space and sending out its own newsletter, Launch. It also acts as a content aggregate for all of the major shows—sharing their news and content on Launch. It in order to achieve their goal of being “the largest searchable database for everything new” in the world of expos and trade shows.
