Affiliate Summit is one of the most anticipated events of the year for Internet marketers, and 2013’s event was definitely one for the record books. With hundreds of affiliates, advertisers, publishers, and networks in attendance, TheMail was fortunate to meet and interview people from all walks of the industry. WPBeginner is an incredible resource for those who are looking to learn the ins and outs of WordPress, but when we talked with Syed Balkhi, founder of WPBeginner at Affiliate Summit, that wasn’t the focus of our conversation. Instead of just talking about the success that WPBeginner has experienced, Syed made it a point to explain how he was able to accomplish that success.
“I was a power user on Digg, I’ve networked a lot, so I’ve tried to help as many people as I can, added value on different blogs, guest posting, being really, really active on Twitter—making my own little circle of people that retweet—and we helped each other out,” Syed explained. “I network a lot. I go to so many of these events—I’m traveling at least once a month, if not multiple times a month, just to go make connections with people.”
Syed then went on to describe the types of posts and content that he’s seen the most traffic from, but for all of those details you’re going to have to watch the full interview at the top of the page. For more information about WPBeginner, visit their website at http://www.wpbeginner.com.
