June Media may be an unfamiliar name to some, but that doesn’t mean that they’re the new kids on the block—in fact, quite the opposite. The newly branded content and affiliate network recently changed its name from Silver Carrot, an affiliate network with over 17 years of advertising experience under its belt. So, when we met with Charlie Brugnolotti at Affiliate Summit, we were curious as to why Silver Carrot had abandoned it’s successful, time-tested branding, and he told us it was a result of the company’s new emphasis on its own content sites that cater to the female demographic.
“We used to be Silver Carrot, which is what most people are going to know us as coming into this—a 17 year-old company,” he said. “We decided to rebrand, change things up a little bit, because we’re launching a ton of new sites, all targeting the female demographic, to be able to kind of give ourself a full reaching network to provide our advertisers a new venue to kind of reach consumers with.”
