During our second, and admittedly brief, day at the Casual Connect conference in San Francisco, we made our best effort to catch up with all of the companies that we missed on day one, and we’re glad we did as we were able to catch Swrve CEO Hugh Reynolds and talk about his company’s product, what it does, and how it works.
Swrve, according to Hugh, is an in-app, direct marketing platform that allows users to customize their apps, as well as how they communicate with their customers, and also help target those customers more effectively within their app. Just by simply visiting Swrve’s website you can see that they are not only dedicated to thinking about mobile gaming and mobile apps in a different way, but they are also taking the necessary steps to help app developers constantly evolve their product in hopes that the user experience is always improving.
But how is Swrve doing this? Well, in our interview with Hugh the Swrve frontman offered up some great details about the inner workings of his company.
“For the folks we work with, they have what we’re seeing as a new type of role emerging, a monetization manager, and they’ll zoom in on individual, sort of behavior-like segments within an app and start to customize the app so the app behaves differently, it responds differently to those users as they behave differently—push different offers, different types of behaviors, different types of flows to those users, all in an effort to improve loyalty and improve revenue. So, giving people a tool to affect the top line, which is sort of a first.”
