Clicksmob is no stranger to us at TheMail—we’ve been running into them at conventions, conferences, and shows for years. So, when we bumped into Chen Levanon, Clicksmob’s Chief Operating Officer, at the recent Casual Connect conference in San Francisco, we thought it would be par for the course to find out what’s going on with them.
Of course we already know what Clicksmob does, as one of the leading mobile affiliate platforms in the industry, so we wanted to find out what was new at the company, and what trends they’ve been noticing and addressing. One such trend that Chen talked about was the shift in focus from number of installs, to an emphasis on the quality of users.
“That’s way we try to focus more on CPA together with CPI, so usually when an advertiser comes to us we tell him that we will be happy to start a couple of campaigns in parallel,” she told us. “One campaign will be CPI for volume, and one campaign will be CPA so it will be per action. So, we define together with our advertiser what the action is like, it can be deposit, it can be first in-app purchase, and then the payout is higher in accordance to that.”
