Recently, at the San Diego VIP MeetUp, Murray Newlands had the chance to interview Catherine Kouzmanoff, better known as “Kitty” from Inter7’s RoboMail.
In their discussion, Kitty talked a bit about RoboMail’s features, the importance of customer service, working on supporting the new IP ranges, IPv6, and the challenges that come with IPv6.
“IPv6 is just new numbers. It’s the same as normal IPs. The battles are your hosting, and that some ISPs don’t accept it, and that’s huge. But that aside, it’s all the same battles you have with your IPs—you need to make good IPs. It’s like your credit score—if you don’t have credit it’s worse than bad credit. So there’s still brand new IPs that you need to mail from, mail to and from, condition them, get them all whitelisted, get permission to mail. You still have to go through all of your extra steps and because they’re newer, and only accepted by a few ISPs, they’re almost worse than normal IPs. So I think this is a great opportunity for us in the business to condition them to be really good.”
